1. Who we are
Pulser is a music distribution portal for record labels, operated by Plans Global, India.
For any privacy question, data access request, or deletion request, contact us at operation.plansglobal@gmail.com.
2. Who this app is for
Pulser is a business tool for music labels. It has no public sign-up. Accounts are issued by Plans Global, or by a parent label for its sub-labels, under an existing distribution agreement. If you are using Pulser, you or your label already has a commercial relationship with us.
The app is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18.
3. What we collect
Information you or your label provides
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Label name, email address, contact number | Identify your account, sign you in, and contact you about your releases |
| Password | Authenticate you. Stored as a bcrypt hash — never in readable form, and never displayed back to anyone, including our staff |
| Audio recordings and cover artwork you upload | Deliver your music to streaming platforms |
| Track metadata (title, artist, album, ISRC, UPC, composer, lyricist, publisher, copyright lines) | Required by streaming platforms to publish your music and attribute payment |
| Copyright claim details and supporting evidence you attach | Investigate and resolve disputes you raise |
| Agreement documents (PDF) | Record the terms between you and Plans Global |
Information generated by using the service
| Data | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Royalty and revenue records | Report and pay your earnings |
| Subscription and payment records | Manage your billing and plan status |
| Approval and rejection status, with timestamps | Track a release through review and show you its progress |
Information collected automatically
We use no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. There is no Google Analytics, no Firebase Analytics, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking in this app. We do not collect an advertising identifier and we do not fingerprint your device.
We do collect the following:
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A push notification token, plus an app-generated random device identifier | Only if you allow notifications | Send release, claim and payout notifications to the right device, and stop sending to devices you have signed out of |
| App version, device platform (iOS or Android), language and time zone | With the above | Send each notification in your language, at a sensible hour, and in a format your app version understands |
| Server logs: IP address, timestamp, endpoint requested | Every request | Security and debugging — including failed sign-in and password-reset attempts, so we can detect attacks on your account |
The device identifier is generated by the app itself and is random. It is not your hardware ID, IMEI, MAC address, or advertising ID, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. Signing out revokes it.
4. What is stored on your device
- Your session token, held in the device's encrypted secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore)
- Your preferences — theme, language, notification settings
- A saved upload draft, so you do not lose work if the app closes mid-submission
- A cached copy of recently viewed data, so the app opens quickly and works offline
You can clear all of this from Settings → Clear cache, by signing out, or by uninstalling the app.
5. Device permissions
| Permission | When it is used | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Photos / media | Only when you tap to choose cover artwork | Select the artwork file to upload |
| Files | Only when you tap to choose an audio file | Select the recording to upload |
| Notifications | Only if you allow it when asked | Tell you when a release is approved, a claim is updated, or a payout is posted |
| Internet | Always | Communicate with our servers |
We only ever access the specific file you pick. We do not browse, scan, index, or upload your photo library or your file storage. The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, calendar, SMS, or call-log access, and does not record audio.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with data brokers or advertisers. We share only as follows:
| Recipient | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Streaming and download platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and the other stores you deliver to) | Your audio recordings, cover artwork and track metadata | This is the service — it is how your music is published and how you get paid |
| Razorpay (payment processor) | Your name and email, prefilled into their checkout, and the payment amount | To take a subscription payment. Razorpay acts as our service provider |
| Expo / Firebase Cloud Messaging | Your push token and the notification text | To deliver a push notification to your device. Used only as the transport |
| Your parent label, if you are a sub-label | Your catalogue, release status, royalty splits and claims | Parent labels are accountable for their sub-labels' catalogues under the distribution agreement |
We never see or store your card details. Payment card information is entered inside Razorpay's own checkout and goes directly to Razorpay. It does not reach our servers at any point.
We will also disclose data where we are legally required to — a court order, a valid law enforcement request, or a statutory obligation.
7. Where data is held, and how it is protected
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit over HTTPS
- Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes and are never recoverable in plain text
- Your session token is held in your device's hardware-backed secure storage
- Access to label data is scoped server-side: a label can only read its own catalogue and that of sub-labels it owns
- Data is hosted on servers in India
No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law.
8. How long we keep data
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account details, preferences, drafts, cached data | Until you delete your account, then removed after a 14-day grace period |
| Audio, artwork and metadata for releases already delivered | Kept while the release is live on streaming platforms, because takedown and re-delivery require it |
| Royalty, payout, invoice and subscription records | Retained as long as required by Indian tax and accounting law, even after account deletion |
| Copyright claim records | Retained for the limitation period applicable to the dispute |
| Server logs | Rolling, short-term, for security and debugging |
9. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your account and personal data — see Delete your Pulser account
- Export your catalogue metadata and royalty statements
- Withdraw consent for notifications, at any time, from your device settings or from Settings in the app
- Complain to us, or to the relevant data protection authority
Email operation.plansglobal@gmail.com from the address registered to your label. We respond within 30 days.
10. Children
Pulser is a business tool for labels holding a distribution agreement. It is not directed at children, we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and there is no public sign-up through which a child could create an account.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top. For a material change we will also notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
