Before you start
Pulser accounts are issued by Plans Global, or by a parent label for its sub-labels, under a distribution agreement. There is no public sign-up in the app — but you can still delete your own account yourself, from inside the app, at any time.
Deletion is not instant and final in one tap. Your account stops working immediately, and the data is deleted after 14 days. That gap exists because we have to settle any outstanding royalties and take down live releases before the account can go — and because a deletion made in error, or by someone else with access to your phone, needs to be undoable.
This page works whether or not you still have the app installed, and whether or not you can still sign in.
How to request deletion
In the app
Open More → Settings → Delete account. The app shows you exactly what is deleted and what is kept, asks for your current password, and asks you to confirm once more. Your account is deactivated the moment you confirm.
We ask for your password even though you are already signed in, so that a lost or borrowed phone cannot delete your account.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email operation.plansglobal@gmail.com from the email address registered to your label, with the subject line:
Delete my account
Include your label name so we can identify the account. Nothing else is needed — do not send your password.
Email us to delete your account
We must receive the request from the registered email address. If you no longer have access to it, email us anyway and we will verify you another way — through your parent label, or against the details on your distribution agreement.
We acknowledge every request within 30 days, in practice usually within two working days.
Sub-labels
If your account was created by a parent label, either you or your parent label can request the deletion. We will notify the parent label when a sub-label account is deleted, because their catalogue roll-up and royalty splits change as a result.
In the app, deletion always applies to the account you are signed in to. A parent label cannot delete a sub-label's account from its own session — that request has to come from the sub-label's own sign-in, or by email.
If you are a parent label
You can delete your own account while you still have sub-labels, but the app will show you how many there are and ask you to confirm. Your sub-labels keep their own accounts and their own logins; what ends is their catalogue roll-up and royalty splits to you. Final deletion of your account completes once we have reassigned them.
What happens, and when
Immediately, once we process the request
- Your account is deactivated and you can no longer sign in
- Access to your catalogue, royalty reports and claims ends
- Push notifications stop, and your device is unregistered
After 14 days
Your account and personal data are permanently deleted. During those 14 days you can email us to cancel — that window exists so a deletion made in error, or by someone else with access to your inbox, can be undone.
Live releases
Deleting your account does not automatically remove your music from streaming platforms. If you want your releases taken down, say so in the same email and we will submit takedowns before we close the account. Takedowns can take several weeks to propagate across all platforms — that timing is set by the platforms, not by us.
What is deleted
- Your account details — label name, email address, contact number, password hash
- Uploaded audio recordings and cover artwork held by Pulser, for releases that never reached a platform
- Track metadata you entered for releases not delivered to platforms
- Your push notification token and device registration
- App preferences and saved upload drafts
What is retained, and why
Some records cannot be deleted on request, because the law or an existing obligation requires us to keep them. These are kept in isolation and are not used to contact you or to build any profile.
| Retained | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Royalty, payout and invoice records; subscription payment records | Indian tax and accounting law requires financial records to be retained | As required by statute |
| Metadata for releases already delivered and still live on platforms | Needed to identify, correct or take down a live release, and to attribute royalties platforms are still paying | Until the release is taken down and final accounting is complete |
| Records of a copyright claim you were party to | Evidence in a dispute involving a third party | For the limitation period of that dispute |
| Signed distribution agreements | Record of the contract between us | As required by contract law |
Deleting the app only
Uninstalling the app removes everything Pulser stored on your device — your session token, preferences, drafts and cached data. It does not delete your account. To delete the account, use Settings → Delete account in the app, or send the email above.
